Particularly the fact that Kiyotaka was not only going along with this unquestioningly, he was the only one doing it at all. The segment in the beginning with Monokuma attempting to lead the students in a morning exercise session surely counts. The funny one is Makoto's, simply because it's such a banal "darkest secret" compared to the eventual culprit and victim's secrets: Makoto used to wet the bed until 5th grade. Monokuma attempts to motivate the students to commit murder by threatening to reveal their " darkest secrets" to the entire world unless one of them commits a murder.Junko is executed, and the surviving students set out to face this new world.

Makoto convinces his fellow students to commit to convicting Junko and pursuing a brighter future for the world. With the surviving students thrust into a state of despair, Makoto fights to keep hope alive both in his friends and throughout the world. This was later broadcasted across the world. It is also discovered that the world around them has fallen into an apocalyptic state orchestrated by Junko and Mukuro through an event known as "The Tragedy." The Tragedy involved a class of students who fought and killed each other in a Battle Royale fashion in a desperate attempt to survive. Junko betrayed Murkuo and later staged Mukuro's body in the fifth case. The original "Junko" who was killed during the first case was her sister, Mukuro, in disguise. Shockingly, it is discovered that the mastermind is Junko Enoshima. Makoto and the other surviving students not only need to piece together who the mastermind is, but what exactly is going on in the outside world. The sixth and final case of Trigger Happy Havoc doesn't let up in its constant string of surprising reveals, which is why it's so fantastic. The mastermind feared Makoto and Kyoko and wanted to take both out, but ultimately had to settle for Makoto's "conviction." Makoto ended up surviving his execution thanks to Chihiro's A.I., Alter Ego, hacking into the Hope's Peak Academy's computer system. The investigation into the fifth murder centers around the victim, discovered to be the previously unknown sixteenth student Mukuro Ikusaba, the "Ultimate Soldier." The fifth case does well to set the stage for the final case, but it's held back by the fact it was rigged from the start. To make matters worse, when going to investigate the body, it explodes, leaving only charred remains. This masked figure is later found dead and all signs point toward Makoto being the culprit. Despite this, Makoto wakes to find a masked figure standing above him brandishing a knife. For his protection, Kyoko Kirigiri, the "Ultimate Detective," keeps watch.
